If you've been wondering what the name of my blog means, here is the answer!
As I said in my last post, I wanted to just kinda explain the meaning behind the new blog title!
Let's start with a fundamental truth. God made us. No "ifs" or "buts", we are created by Him. And we were created to glorify Him, to reflect His perfect-ness.
If you think about it (and I'm sure many of you have already been told to think about it this way), our bodies work perfectly. Every system, every body part, every organ is there for a specific purpose and they all interact in intricate ways that allow us to function. There is no other explanation for that other than it is the work of a perfect God. What's more, He created us in His image, meaning that He created us to be knowledgeable, to be wise, to be righteous, to be holy. And what a great honor that is!
What's EVEN more, God created humans to be set apart from the rest of creation. We are different from all other living things in that we have the ability to think in abstract ways and to judge between right and wrong.
But why put in all this effort to create us so intricately? It all goes back to glorifying and loving God! The human heart was made so that we can experience an intimate relationship with God as well as His incomprehensible love for us. With our hearts, we also have the ability to love our God. For this reason, our hearts as well as our bodies are so important to God. He DESIRES a RELATIONSHIP with us, which is honestly what sets Christians apart from all other religions. Our God, who is so mighty, so awesome, wants to be in an intimate relationship with each and every one of us!
God sees all of us as His wonderful creation, which is so amazing to think about, but at the same time, it's something I often forget. Oftentimes, I allow the noises of the world to overpower God's voice telling me that I am His and I am loved. So, how should we respond in a way that reminds us daily of God's truth?
By living in a way that honors God. By using the bodies He blessed us with to glorify Him. By loving our God and loving others with all our hearts.
So let's live as we were made to be - fearfully and wonderfully.
